June 1: Storming the Capital
On June 1 we are organizing the first (as far as we know) National Sex Worker Lobby Day. We’re asking everyone to keep engaging with their representatives, whether it’s in DC, visits in your district, with your City Council, or with state reps. For those interested, we’ll be providing training, talking points, materials and support in setting up and having those meetings.
Why is this important? If we want to push back against legislation and policies which harm communities and individuals trading sex, we have to build those relationships. Organizations, staffers and representatives need more information, and need to know where to get it. Let’s show up and answer both of those needs.
